You may configure your Windows XP system in Category View by following the steps below
- Click
on the Start button and select Control Panel. In the resulting
window, click the Network and Internet Connections icon
- Select
the Network Connections icon
- Double-click
the Local Area Connection icon corresponding to your network hardware to
bring up the Local Area Connection Status window.
- Click
the Properties button
- In
the Local Area Connection Properties window, locate the entry labeled Internet
Protocol (TCP/IP). Click to select
it, and then click on the Properties button.
- Choose
the options for Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS
server address automatically
- Click
OK to close the window, click OK in the Local Area Connection
Properties window, and click OK in the Local Area Connection
Status window.
