  • From the left hand column click the Getting Connected link
  • Click the ruCompliant link
  • Run the ruCompliant Wizard and follow the onscreen instructions
  • After the ruCompliant wizard appears, you will need to log in again using your NetID and Password. Once you successfully authenticate, the scan process will begim
  • The process typically takes between 20 minutes and one hour to complete, depending on your computer. Upon completion, ruCompliant will display the status of each test.
  • If your system fails a test, simply double-click the test to correct the problem. Should a system error occur during the scan, a dialog will provide instructions to correct the problem. If you need further assistance, follow the instructions to open a ticket, make note of the ticket number, and contact your local computing help desk.
  • Once the computer passes the ruCompliant wizard successfully, review the Network Rules, check the I have read... check box, and click Finish
  • It can take between 2 and 4 hours following successful passage of ruCompliant to gain full access to the Internet.
