1) Open Microsoft Outlook 2003 2) Select the Tools menu from the menu bar. 3) From the drop down menu select E-mail Accounts 4) Select View or change existing e-mail account from the E-mail Accounts window and click Next. 5) Select either IMAP or POP3 depending on your preference.
|
*Note:
·
With
the IMAP setting email is kept on
server, there is no need to download all email when using another computer to
check your email.
·
With
the POP3 setting email you need to
download all of your e-mail again when using another computer. May cause
problems if you’re checking your e-mail from multiple
locations | 6) Select the e-mail account you wish to edit and click the Change button. 7) Depending on account location your incoming and outgoing email server will either be andromeda.rutgers.edu or pegasus.rutgers.edu 8) Click More Settings 9) Click the Outgoing Server tab 10) Place a checkmark in the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authenication and Use same settings as my incoming server radio button 11) Select the Advanced tab. In the Server Port Numbers section, check
both boxes for Incoming server (IMAP/POP) and Outgoing server (SMTP), and then
click OK. 12) Click Next and click Finish
