You will need an Internet connection. From your desktop system, open your browser and enter the following URL:
For Pegasus users: https://pegasus.rutgers.edu/desktop
For Andromeda users: https://andromeda.rutgers.edu/desktop
Once the page loads, a new window will open (white text on a black background) with several buttons.
When you see the login: prompt, type your NetID and press Enter. You will then see the Password: prompt. Type your password and press Enter. Nothing will be printed on the screen as you type your password.
A new window will open. Right-clicking the mouse on the desktop will pop-up a menu with the various applications you can run. If you are using a Mac, press the command key(the symbol on the key vaguely
resembles a four leaf clover) while clicking on the desktop to bring up the menu (or press command on some keyboards).
Please note that you need a browser which supports Java to use this service.
