Safe Mode is a method of loading a limited set of device drivers and start up items. As a result, when in safe mode your system may not be able to print, play videos or perform other routine activities. The advantage of this reduced functionality is that it is easier to isolate problems. In windows you can enter safe mode by repeatedly pressing F8 function key as you start/restart your computer. If windows boots normally restart and try again. When the Windows Advanced Options menu appears you can boot into safe mode by using the arrow key to scroll down select safe mode. When in safe mode windows your windows display will be in low resolution(icons and text will appear as large) and the words "safe mode" will appear on all four corners of the screen. Once you reboot you will be in your prior configuration.
